Finally some news from over here…
Since last update, I’ve been to the Great Ocean Road, wich was great despite the bad weather, after that I worked for 1 week on an apple farm, pretty borring as usual on farms now.
Again another tour early march, this one starting in Darwin going to Melbourne, 14 days… The beginning was probably the best part, travelling throu Kakadu Nationnal Park with 70 cm of water on some parts of the road… Logs of wood lying on the road, moving them while looking out for crocs Haha…
Got really really ill at the Rock, probably a little bug somewhere, plus dehydration (happens really fast in the desert)… Spent about half a day in hospital, although I must admit I don’t really remember how long I spent exactly in hospital, means I was feeling quite bad.
Took me about 1 week after the tour to get back on the track ! That was about 5 weeks ago…
Anyway after that I picked grapes for one day, and lemons for 1 week, bloody well paid lemons actually ! Yarra Valley again…
I stopped the lemons for another job organised by my usual bus tour boss ! Advertise, promote the Northern Territory Tourism and bus tours over there on Tourism Shows and Expos. Check out Travel NT’s Website.

Again a short message from Aussie, just want to wish everybody a nice holiday, some snow in France (ski) and a happy new year 2007.
I’ve been working on farms till now, cherry picking, flower bulbs picking/sorting/counting… I started painting for a local a few days ago, and i’ll probably work on a website this weekend. Busy enough though.
The new year started, i’m going to do another bus trip, the same as the first one, again for one month.

Embauché en tant que traducteur en-fr/assistant/etc pour une agence de voyage en bus a travers tout l’australie.
C’est pas rémunéré, mais pas besoin de payer l’hôtel, les repas, et les différentes sorties organises par l’agence de voyage.

Dimanche, je suis allé au tout nouveau zoo de Sydney. Australia Wildlife World.
24$ pour une visite d’environ 2 heures ou on peu voir la plupart des animaux d’australie.
A l’entrée, un mec tenait une grosse blatte de presque 10 cm. Mieux vaut ne pas les avoir dans nos maisons.

Direction Manly Beach, devant la statue du Duke, le premier surfer “moderne” qui a fait découvrir le surf au monde. Il a fait sa première démonstration la, sur une grosse blanche en bois de 55 kilos. La première personne a avoir apprise a surfer est d’ailleurs une fille.
Le surf est d’origine indigène, australienne ou pas, je ne sais plus.
Quelques explications sur la formation des vagues, les dangers de la mer, les précautions a prendre, etc… Les requins ne sont pas considérés comme un dangers, on a bien plus de chance d’avoir un accident sur la route que de se faire mordre pas un requin Continue reading ‘Surfing !’

Bière bière bière bière…
Non un peu plus quand même :
Heineken, Grolsch, Toheys New, Victoria Bitter, Fosters, XXXX…
Pour une fois on peut…
Oui oui la Bière la plus bu dans les lieux touristiques est la Heineken, sinon c’est la Toheys New. Et contrairement a ce que tout le monde pense, la Fosters ne semble pas être apprécié ici. Ca dépends des régions probablement Continue reading ‘Résumé des derniers jours’

Le voyage a été long et fatiguant. Au total a peu près 24 heures de vol, avec 8 heures de sommeil en 4 jours (mercredi matin a samedi soir).
